💛 Why I Created KittyScan

From heartbreak to purpose.

For over six years, our cat wasn’t just a pet—she was part of our family. She grew up alongside our kids, shared our happiest moments, and brought comfort during the tough ones. My children, now 10 and 12, never knew life without her. She was their constant.

One day, we noticed something terrifying—she was urinating blood. We rushed her to the vet, only to find out it was kidney failure. The worst part? It was too late. The signs had been there, but we didn’t know. She had been silently suffering. Cats are like that—they hide pain too well. That day, we lost more than a pet. We lost a piece of our family.

That moment changed everything.

I couldn’t stop thinking—what if we had known earlier? What if there was a way to detect health issues before they became irreversible? That’s when the idea for KittyScan was born.

I didn’t have the capital to launch right away, but I made it my mission. I spent the next few years saving, researching, building—because no one else should have to watch their kids say goodbye to their best friend too late.

KittyScan was created so that early signs don’t go unnoticed. It’s a simple, at-home solution that gives every cat parent a better chance to protect the ones they love—before it’s too late.
